Concept
Separate collection of recyclables and compostables is common at home, but remains rare in public spaces. Replacing public waste bins with new two- or three-compartment bins can be costly. To address this, Équilibri-Vie developed EcoloTOP around a new idea:
“Expand the separate collection of recyclables and compostables in public spaces and buildings by converting existing waste bins into two-compartment bins for recyclables (or compostables) and waste.”
With EcoloTOP products, going green does not require replacing public waste bins—only their lids!
EcoloTOP is an easy-to-install lid that makes separate waste collection practical. It comes in different sizes to fit a wide range of existing public waste bins. Its components are made from durable, high-strength plastic (HDPE) and stainless steel.
EcoloTOP is manufactured entirely in Québec, Canada, under strict quality controls. It is much more economical than purchasing and installing new multi-compartment bins. EcoloTOP has been green from the start.

Warranty
Equilibri-Vie Inc. warrants EcoloTOP products against manufacturing defects. This 10-year prorated warranty decreases by 10% each year and covers the replacement of defective parts only. Damage caused by vandalism, natural disasters or intentional destruction is not covered. The warranty does not apply to damage resulting from improper installation or use of the product.
Specifications
EcoloTOP is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) components that are highly resistant to UV rays and impact.
A central hinge with a stainless steel rod allows each flap and each half-lid to open and close.
Each half has a rim and a flap to position and secure a 75 × 95 cm (30 × 38 in.) plastic collection bag.Installation instructions – PDF, 48 KB
Each optional lid has a curved 240 g (0.5 lb) stainless steel weight to prevent it from opening in strong winds. The blue lid is available with a 10 cm opening for can recycling.
Available diameters: 55 cm (22 in.) and 60 cm (24 in.).
